Butler focuses on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/major-infrastructure-projects\/57194\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">essential infrastructure<\/a> including airports, railways and highways, will deliver the programme of works.<\/p>\n<p>The work is being undertaken alongside the \u00a3337m\u00a0development of the new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.museumoflondon.org.uk\/museum-london\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Museum of London<\/a> site at West Smithfield.<\/p>\n<h3>Work includes:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Extensive temporary works to support the market building whilst the foundations are transferred to the new tunnel lids<\/li>\n<li>Reduction of the depth of structure to form the new museum structural deck<\/li>\n<li>Removal of overburden upon the existing tunnel lid jack arches<\/li>\n<li>PCC structures<\/li>\n<li>Dismantling of historic fa\u00e7ade<\/li>\n<li>Installation of tunnel strengthening steelwork and steelwork design in the tunnel vaults as enabling works for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.networkrail.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Network Rail<\/a>\u2019s installation of new Road Rail Access Points (RRAP)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/graham-highways-england\/55663\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Highways improvements<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Waterproofing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>The new site<\/h3>\n<p>Currently, at London Wall in east London, the museum is moving to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/west-smithfield-cultural-destination\/70045\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">West Smithfield<\/a>, a conservation area in central London, where it will take over the currently derelict market buildings at the western end of Smithfield.<\/p>\n<p>The new site will have the capacity to welcome over two million visitors a year and has been designed by London-based architectural practices Stanton Williams and Asif Khan working with Julian Harrap, a firm which specialises in the redevelopment of historic buildings.<\/p>\n<p>Dyer &amp; Butler\u2019s rail division delivers essential rail infrastructure services under the framework and stand-alone contracts, from maintenance through to major capital projects.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mk-custom-module-container\">\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dyer &#038;
