{"id":76581,"date":"2020-05-22T09:56:28","date_gmt":"2020-05-22T08:56:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=76581"},"modified":"2020-05-22T09:56:28","modified_gmt":"2020-05-22T08:56:28","slug":"m25-junction-25","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/m25-junction-25\/76581\/","title":{"rendered":"Graham wins M25 improvement scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.graham.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Graham<\/a> has secured a contract with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/highways-england\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Highways England<\/a> to deliver improvements to the M25 Junction 25<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/tag\/road-improvements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">road improvements<\/a> to the M25 Junction 25 include an upgrade of the junction between the M25 and A10 at Cheshunt, providing greater capacity for traffic.<\/p>\n<h3>Other aspects of the improvement works include:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Widening of the M25 Junction 25 roundabout to four lanes<\/li>\n<li>Widening of the M25 eastbound diverge and providing a segregated left turn for A10 northbound traffic<\/li>\n<li>Widening of the westbound M25 diverge<\/li>\n<li>Widening of the A10 southbound entry to the roundabout<\/li>\n<li>Providing improved shared use paths across junction 25.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Junction 25 connects the M25 with the A10.<\/p>\n<p>Up to 6,300 vehicles per hour currently travel through the junction 25 roundabout at peak times, causing congestion and regular delays.
