{"id":76858,"date":"2020-05-29T08:20:20","date_gmt":"2020-05-29T07:20:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=76858"},"modified":"2020-05-29T08:20:20","modified_gmt":"2020-05-29T07:20:20","slug":"architect-design-services-framework","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/architect-design-services-framework\/76858\/","title":{"rendered":"LHC and Southwark Council launch Architect Design Services framework"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lhc.gov.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LHC<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southwark.gov.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Southwark Council<\/a> have launched the Architect Design Services (ADS) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lhc.gov.uk\/Frameworks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">framework<\/a>, this will create a list of architectural practices and new design talent at the fingertips of local authorities and social landlords in Greater London<\/h2>\n<p>The ADS framework covers a wide range of disciplines from master planning and feasibility work to education, social care and community provision, new homes, commercial and industrial projects, conservation and heritage, public realm and landscaping.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, a pioneering new lot in the four-year framework covers \u2018new design\u2019, open only to emerging designers with turnover below \u00a32m.<\/p>\n<p>This lot can be used to call off <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/lhc-procurement-shakeup\/76412\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">smaller practices<\/a> for projects which fit into any construction category or value and gives public sector clients in Greater London access to SME and micro-practices not typically found on frameworks.<\/p>\n<h3>A new webinar<\/h3>\n<p>A free\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/us02web.zoom.us\/webinar\/register\/WN_n7-UkUXLSRC8YTFINRwjZQ?utm_source=GM&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=LSE%3a+ADS+webinar+invites+-+clients&amp;utm_term=Join+us+for+the+Architect+Design+Services+Framework+launch+webinar.&amp;utm_content=1&amp;gator_td=VPLHV4vbWZyXxC%2f3D%2fh8r7t3Nx404n5MC03E8JlyhfUON2uBfrBDsgDMxArNl2Bii3AIyy9jN7csXv8%2bAuqCKeUvhb6r4%2f%2bT0xHtG5pVKh%2fW%2bmgMsjpPeGseyo6sQ%2fFCJmOQaV7nMGLV5zKr1XTkqQ%3d%3d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">webinar<\/a>\u00a0is being held on Thursday 4 June for public sector clients to find out more about the framework and the awarded practices. The webinar will also give attendees the opportunity to ask LHC\u2019s technical experts any questions they have about the process of using the framework.<\/p>\n<h3>Social and economic regeneration<\/h3>\n<p>Jennifer Castle, regional manager at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/stakeholders\/lhc-trusted-procurement-for-better-buildings-and-homes\/66305\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LHC London<\/a> and South East, said:\u00a0\u201cThe ADS framework was developed to ensure that it addresses all of the design needs of local authorities, registered social landlords, tenant management organisations, ALMOs and other public sector clients in the Greater London region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough collaborative working, we created a procurement process that attracted 365 good applications and has resulted in the final choice of 110 of the best architectural practices able to deliver innovative construction services to the public sector in London. These include a new generation of designers who have not been accepted onto frameworks before.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat all these practices have in common is that they have demonstrated a thorough consideration of residents and the wider community.
