{"id":76932,"date":"2020-06-01T12:11:46","date_gmt":"2020-06-01T11:11:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=76932"},"modified":"2020-06-02T09:40:11","modified_gmt":"2020-06-02T08:40:11","slug":"northern-powerhouse-rail-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/northern-powerhouse-rail-programme\/76932\/","title":{"rendered":"Mace wins contract on Northern Powerhouse Rail programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.macegroup.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mace<\/a> has been appointed by <a href=\"https:\/\/transportforthenorth.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Transport for the North<\/a> (TfN) to lead the programme support office for the <a href=\"https:\/\/transportforthenorth.com\/northern-powerhouse-rail\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Northern Powerhouse Rail<\/a> (NPR) programme<\/h2>\n<p>Mace is now responsible for project controls, project management, stakeholder management and commercial support.<\/p>\n<p>This extensive scope, which positions Mace at the forefront of the region\u2019s rail evolution, will ensure a strengthened and more coordinated approach to progressing the transformative <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/northern-powerhouse-pledge\/63118\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NPR scheme<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As programme support office partner, Mace will work closely with NPR and key stakeholders to further enhance the programme management capabilities needed to deliver the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/boris-johnson-northern-powerhouse\/61685\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">complex \u00a339bn programme<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>An expanded and embedded Mace team will continue to work within NPR to deliver the Programme Support Office over the next 12 months and beyond.
