{"id":77460,"date":"2020-06-10T14:52:02","date_gmt":"2020-06-10T13:52:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=77460"},"modified":"2020-06-10T14:52:02","modified_gmt":"2020-06-10T13:52:02","slug":"500m-services-framework","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/500m-services-framework\/77460\/","title":{"rendered":"Mace wins place on TfL&#8217;s \u00a3500m services framework"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.macegroup.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mace<\/a> has secured a place on <a href=\"https:\/\/tfl.gov.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Transport for London<\/a>&#8216;s (TfL)\u00a0professional services framework, to create a higher quality of services<\/h2>\n<p>Mace has secured places on the framework\u2019s four most significant lots, including programme and portfolio management, programme office and project controls, risk and opportunity management, construction and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/hr-skills-news\/project-management-economy\/55329\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">project management<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of TfL\u2019s professional services framework is to create higher quality services provision, reduced costs and greater value for money.<\/p>\n<p>Mace has recently secured a role on<a href=\"https:\/\/transportforthenorth.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Transport for the North\u2019s<\/a> Northern Powerhouse Rail programme to lead its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/northern-powerhouse-rail-programme\/76932\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Programme Support Office<\/a>, playing a key role in the evolution of the UK\u2019s rail infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>The Northern Powerhouse Rail appointment now means Mace is responsible for project controls, project management, stakeholder management and commercial support.<\/p>\n<h3>Working towards a better transport system<\/h3>\n<p>Sean Gray, director for transportation at Mace, said: \u201cWe are pleased to have secured roles on TfL\u2019s professional services framework, supporting the improvement of the capital\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/tag\/transport\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">transport system<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn light of the current crisis, connectivity and better transport will be vital in strengthening London\u2019s recovery and we are proud to be part of the solution.
