Plans have been given the go-ahead to Tritax Big Box<\/a> and Bericote Properties<\/a>\u00a0for a\u00a02.3 million sq ft warehouse in Dartford<\/h2>\n

Tritax Big Box has received planning consent and exchanged contracts with an on-line retailer to pre-let a new ‘Mega Box’ logistics building. The pre-let and planning consent covers the Phase 2 and part of Phase 3 plots of the company\u2019s Littlebrook warehouse in Dartford.<\/p>\n

The development in Dartford comprises a 2.3 million sq ft logistics building on 35.5 acres within London\u2019s orbital M25 motorway and next to critical transport infrastructure<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Dartford Borough Council has given planning consent for what will be DPD\u2019s 36th new format hub built in the UK since 2011, which will be delivered as an additional phase of the established Park.<\/p>\n

The developer has committed to achieving a net-zero carbon building<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The warehouse in Dartford will play a key role in the customer\u2019s local and national distribution and fulfilment network. It will also deliver economic and employment benefits to the area.<\/p>\n

Following completion, the customer will occupy over 7 million sq ft of Big Box logistics space.<\/p>\n

The Littlebrook development project, formerly the site of a decommissioned power station, is adjacent to the QE2 Bridge, Dartford Tunnel and on the south bank of the River Thames and has the potential to become one of London\u2019s largest Big Box logistics parks in a critical \u201clast journey\u201d location inside the M25.<\/p>\n

With its development partner, Bericote Properties, Tritax Big Box has successfully secured detailed planning permission from Dartford Borough Council<\/a> for this pre-let development.<\/p>\n

Practical completion is expected in Summer 2021, the building will target an \u201cExcellent\u201d BREEAM and EPC A ratings, with key features including:<\/p>\n
