{"id":77832,"date":"2020-06-18T09:13:24","date_gmt":"2020-06-18T08:13:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=77832"},"modified":"2020-08-05T12:56:33","modified_gmt":"2020-08-05T11:56:33","slug":"ess-modular-spatial-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/mmc-news\/ess-modular-spatial-initiative\/77832\/","title":{"rendered":"ESS Modular completes purchase of Spatial Initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.essmodular.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ESS Modular<\/a> has completed the acquisition of the company that specialises in delivering education projects utilising modern methods of construction, <a href=\"https:\/\/spatial-initiative.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Spatial Initiative<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>The announcement comes after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/stakeholders\/ess-modular-modular-construction-specialists\/70296\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ESS Modular<\/a> acquired an additional 50% share in Spatial Initiative.<\/p>\n<p>The move is an investment in the continued growth of the educational arm of the business, which will\u00a0continue to support the DfE\u2019s ambitious <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/modular-construction-news\/dfe-offsite-schools-framework-2\/58884\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">school building programmes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Spatial Initiative is on a number of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/department-for-education\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Department for Education<\/a> frameworks and to date has delivered seven new schools and is currently on-site delivering a further seven new projects throughout the country.<\/p>\n<p>In January of this year, the company was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/modular-construction-news\/ess-modular-construction-framework\/70245\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">appointed to the \u00a33bn DfE Offsite Framework<\/a> MMC and joined a panel of contractors which will help deliver the DfE\u2019s new school build programme for new primary and secondary schools across the UK over the next four years.
