{"id":78234,"date":"2020-06-26T08:36:44","date_gmt":"2020-06-26T07:36:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=78234"},"modified":"2020-06-26T08:36:44","modified_gmt":"2020-06-26T07:36:44","slug":"sizewell-c-planning-application","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/energy-news\/sizewell-c-planning-application\/78234\/","title":{"rendered":"Sizewell C unveils commitments to East Suffolk community"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Following the acceptance of the Sizewell C planning application for examination, the project has issued a list of pledges to the community in East Suffolk<\/h2>\n<p>The decision to accept the planning application for examination means the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/planning-inspectorate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Planning Inspectorate<\/a> is satisfied that the 8 years of public consultation by Sizewell C was conducted properly and that full examination of the proposals can now take place.<\/p>\n<p>Sizewell C will provide a boost to jobs, skills, education and training for decades to come while helping to tackle the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/tag\/climate-change\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">climate crisis<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Sizewell C pledges to:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimise disruption to local communities during the construction of Sizewell C.<\/li>\n<li>Invest in local employment, education and skills. This includes an aim to enable 1000 apprenticeships.<\/li>\n<li>Support the growth of the local economy.
