Bouygues UK<\/a> has been appointed as the main contractor for the third phase of the \u00a3240m regeneration scheme, Hallsville Quarter<\/h2>\n

Linkcity<\/a> has signed agreements with multiple partners for the third phase of Hallsville Quarter, its major regeneration scheme with the London Borough of Newham at Canning Town.<\/p>\n

The 278 private rental homes in Phase 3 have been forward funded by Grainger<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It includes 143 shared ownership properties and 199 affordable homes \u2013 including 50 extra-care apartments.<\/p>\n

Hallsville Quarter<\/a> will be owned and managed by One Housing Group<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Phase 3 plans<\/h3>\n

This latest phase of the Hallsville Quarter development will deliver an integrated health centre under an innovative new model with local health partners, 12,109 sq ft of business accommodation, 16,630 sq ft of leisure space, a new basement car park for 143 vehicles, and new public spaces, including fountains and play areas.<\/p>\n

Phase 3 continues the masterplan, with the first two phases having already delivered 528 new homes, a 196-room hotel, new restaurants, shops, a gym, leisure spaces, a car park and enhanced public realm.<\/p>\n

In total, the Hallsville Quarter development, which is part of the \u00a33.7bn Canning Town and Custom House regeneration project<\/a>, will provide 1,100 new homes.<\/p>\n

\u2018One of London\u2019s biggest regeneration projects\u2019<\/h3>\n

Managing director of Linkcity, Nicolas Gu\u00e9rin, said: \u201cHallsville Quarter is one of London\u2019s biggest regeneration projects, and the third phase will be the largest to date, more than doubling the number of new homes the scheme has delivered so far.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s exciting to have signed agreements with trusted partners and high-quality operators, enabling work to begin on this significant project.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Mayor of Newham, Rokhsana Fiaz, commented: \u201cI\u2019ve been working positively with Linkcity for some time to get to this important new stage.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Hallsville Quarter project has helped to transform this part of Canning Town and I\u2019m really glad that Morrisons and other shops are now open and providing great local facilities for residents.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m also very pleased that 199 of this next phase of new homes will be a mix of social rent and shared ownership and of a high standard.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn addition, 50 of them will be allocated to Newham residents who need extra care services and facilities, enabling more people to remain independent and cared for in their own homes.<\/p>\n

\u201cFinally, as part of my community wealth building agenda, we\u2019ve agreed with Linkcity to recruit 35% of the entire construction team from Newham through our improved Workplace service.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll in all, I\u2019m looking forward to continue working with Linkcity to ensure that Hallsville Quarter continues to fulfil its potential for the people and businesses of Newham.\u201d<\/p>\n

Helen Gordon, chief executive of Grainger plc said: \u201cWe are very pleased that work is now commencing on this next phase of Hallsville Quarter, which will deliver a total of 278 new private rental homes for Grainger.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Canning Town area is undergoing significant regeneration, and we know from our experience with Argo Apartments that this is a very popular location to live, with such great access to the wider city.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis next phase further enhances our presence in Newham and builds on the recent launch of Millet Place at Pontoon Dock, which we have also delivered in partnership with the Linkcity team.\u201d<\/p>\n

Phase 3 of the Hallsville Quarter development is expected to be complete in 2024.<\/p>\n
