{"id":79298,"date":"2020-07-15T08:05:26","date_gmt":"2020-07-15T07:05:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=79298"},"modified":"2020-07-15T08:05:26","modified_gmt":"2020-07-15T07:05:26","slug":"management-service-contracts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/management-service-contracts\/79298\/","title":{"rendered":"Cadent hands out \u00a3600m construction management contracts"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/cadentgas.com\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cadent<\/a> has awarded four construction management service contracts worth \u00a3600m to provide its mains replacement programme in each of its networks from April 2021<\/h2>\n<p>The Construction Management Organisation (CMO) contracts have been awarded to four contractors who will work closely with Cadent\u2019s network teams during the next two regulatory periods.<\/p>\n<p>The contractors will manage the planning and delivery of each network\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/bim-news\/bim-albert-court\/73800\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">mains replacement<\/a> programme and other related investment projects.<\/p>\n<p>The new performance-related contracts are valued at around \u00a3300m over the initial five years, with a second five-year term, taking the overall potential value to \u00a3600m.<\/p>\n<h3>The construction management service contracts have been awarded to:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.costain.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Costain<\/a> \u2013 East of England network<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.morrisonus.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Morrison Utility Services<\/a> \u2013 North London network<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/networkplus.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Network Plus<\/a> \u2013 North West network<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sus.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sapphire Utility Solutions<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.enzen.com\/global\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Enzen Global Solutions<\/a> joint venture \u2013 West Midlands network.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Strategic partnership<\/h3>\n<p>Howard Forster, chief operating officer at Cadent, saif: \u201cWe are delighted to be working with each of these companies.
