Residential developer Mulbury<\/a> has agreed a deal with Great Places Housing Group<\/a> to deliver 65 new homes in Shaw, Greater Manchester<\/h2>\n

The \u00a311m housing scheme will revitalise a five-acre former industrial site off Moss Hey Street.<\/p>\n

The development will provide 34 homes for shared ownership<\/a> and 31 for affordable rent. They will be a mix of two, three and four-bedroom terraced, semi-detached and detached properties.<\/p>\n

The new homes in Shaw received planning permission by Oldham Council<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Delivering much-needed housing<\/h3>\n

Helen Spencer, Great Places\u2019 director of development, said: \u201cThis is a fantastic opportunity to create much-needed housing in Shaw.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe mixed-tenure nature of the site means the development will offer choice for customers, and we expect it to prove very popular.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a group, we are actively contributing to tackling the housing crisis<\/a> and providing affordable quality housing across the North West and Yorkshire.\u201d<\/p>\n

Greg Mulligan, co-founder and director at Mulbury, said: \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to have been given the green light to progress this high-quality housing development alongside Great Places Housing Group.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese vital new homes provide a solution for what had become a local eyesore, and the site\u2019s location next to excellent transport connections, including the Metrolink tram line, will make it a great place to live.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese new homes are part of our ambitious plan set in 2019 to build 3,000 new homes in the region over the next five years.\u201d<\/p>\n

As part of the development, a new access road will be created off Moss Hey Street.<\/p>\n

Mulbury began work on site in July 2020 and completion is scheduled for June 2022.<\/p>\n
