RSK Group Ltd<\/a> has announced the acquisition of\u00a0Water Research Centre Ltd<\/a>\u00a0(WRc), an independent centre of excellence for innovation and growth, and its subsidiary\u00a0Cognica<\/a><\/h2>\n

WRc\u2019s 170 employees will bring a shared purpose of discovering and delivering new and solutions that enable its clients to meet the challenges of the future.<\/p>\n

Its services include leakage detection, water management<\/a>, wastewater management, flooding and sewers, environmental modelling, innovation and management consulting, asset management, UKAS-accredited physical testing and validation facilities and services, policy and regulation, UKAS-approved laboratory services, infrastructure assessment<\/a> services, building information services and waste-to-resource consulting services.<\/p>\n

WRc is also the home of\u00a0The National Centre for Environmental Toxicology<\/a>, an expert team of scientists and toxicologists offering a toxicology-on-demand subscription service for its clients.<\/p>\n

WRc has also recently developed a water quality sampling and monitoring programme for Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority in the UAE, and is providing water sector specialist expertise for the Department for International Trade<\/a> in the UK.<\/p>\n

In addition, working with\u00a0Water UK<\/a>, WRc has developed and is delivering the worlds\u2019 first standard for flushable products, Fine to Flush, to protect UK sewers and water bodies. Furthermore, it is working with its partners to deliver the Hydro Nation water innovation service, which is helping to drive the uptake of innovative technologies in Scotland.<\/p>\n

WRc and Cognica will continue to be led by WRc chief executive officer, Mark Smith and will become part of RSK\u2019s agriculture, land and property management division.<\/p>\n

Address global issues<\/h3>\n
