{"id":83152,"date":"2020-09-29T10:40:38","date_gmt":"2020-09-29T09:40:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=83152"},"modified":"2020-09-30T08:35:53","modified_gmt":"2020-09-30T07:35:53","slug":"face-coverings-construction-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/health-safety-news\/face-coverings-construction-update\/83152\/","title":{"rendered":"CLC updates construction site face mask guidance"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.constructionleadershipcouncil.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Construction Leadership Council<\/a> (CLC) has updated its statement on the use of face coverings on construction sites in response to Covid-19<\/h2>\n<p>The update aims to provide a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/construction-covid-19\/80950\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">consistent approach across the industry<\/a>. It is based on Government guidance in England, other restrictions and advice may apply in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>The use of face coverings in construction during Covid-19\u00a0now recommends that face coverings are worn where workers on site are not required to wear Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) and their workplace (which may include welfare and changing facilities, office or meetings rooms) meets\u00a0all\u00a0of the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An enclosed space;<\/li>\n<li>Where social distancing isn\u2019t always possible;
