rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Transport for London<\/a> (TfL) highways maintenance and project framework to maintain and improve highways and related assets covering a 189km network in north London<\/h2>\n<p>The highways maintenance and project framework is a brand-new single supplier <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/500m-services-framework\/77460\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">framework launched by TfL<\/a> and it has three Lots covering different geographical areas in London.<\/p>\n<p>Mobilisation is due to commence this month and the contract is due to start in April 2021.<\/p>\n<p>It can be accessed by TfL, London Boroughs and other TfL group companies.<\/p>\n<p>The framework will run for eight years, with the potential to extend by an additional four.<\/p>\n<h3>Delivering a sustainable network<\/h3>\n<p>Paul Fleetham, managing director, Tarmac Construction, said: \u201cWe are proud to have been given the opportunity to work collaboratively with TfL and our partner Kier to deliver a safe and sustainable <a London<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA key strategic focus will be working efficiently to minimise disruption to residents and the travelling public while supporting <a href=\"http:\/\/content.tfl.gov.uk\/vision-zero-action-plan.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">TfL\u2019s Healthy Streets and Vision Zero<\/a> initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy leveraging our collective knowledge, expertise and network of materials plants the Tarmac-Kier JV offers an exciting integrated partnership to meet London\u2019s highways challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Group managing director for Kier Highways, Joe Incutti, said: \u201cWe are delighted to have been awarded this contract.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKier is proud to have worked with TfL
