Morgan Sindall<\/a> has been accredited as a Living Wage Employer<\/a>, a guarantee its staff will earn a fair wage that meets the costs and pressures of everyday life<\/h2>\n

Morgan Sindall\u2019s pledge to pay the Living Wage will see all its staff receive a minimum hourly wage of \u00a39.30 in the UK or \u00a310.75 in London. Both rates are significantly higher than the government minimum for over 25s, which currently stands at \u00a38.72 per hour.<\/p>\n

This commitment to paying the real Living Wage and delivering a fair day\u2019s pay for a hard day\u2019s work reflects Morgan Sindall Construction\u2019s dedication to improving employer standards<\/a> in the construction industry.<\/p>\n

The real Living Wage is the only rate calculated according to the costs of living.<\/p>\n

It provides a voluntary benchmark for employers that wish to ensure their staff earn a wage they can live on, not just the government minimum.<\/p>\n

Since 2011 the Living Wage movement has delivered a pay rise to over 250,000 people and put over \u00a31bn extra into the pockets of low paid workers.<\/p>\n

Morgan Sindall Construction\u2019s commitment to creating a better working culture across the built environment was also recently evidenced by its involvement in the launch of Work Radar, a new platform connecting individual tradespeople, micro-businesses and social enterprises with leading contractors.<\/p>\n

The service will help thousands of construction workers<\/a> find local work and supports the government’s plan to progress shovel-ready projects in response to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Above and beyond the government minimum<\/h3>\n
