Gallagher<\/a> has won a multi-year appointment as the professional indemnity (PI) broker for public services supplier Amey<\/a><\/h2>\n

Gallagher was chosen as a result of its clear understanding of Amey\u2019s business and its diverse risk exposures, and how it could support the business in negotiating the challenging PI market<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The strength of Gallagher\u2019s dedicated PI capability within its construction practice played a deciding factor.<\/p>\n

Gallagher is a provider of insurance and risk management<\/a> advice to infrastructure firms, with a client portfolio which includes a broad range of UK and international owners, contractors and support services providers.<\/p>\n

Managing PI insurance in a challenging market<\/h3>\n

Julie Scott, adviser, Gallagher\u2019s Specialty construction practice, said: \u201cIn recent years, the PI insurance market has seen narrowing coverage and increasing costs for placements in the construction and infrastructure sector.<\/p>\n

\u201cEffectively managing PI insurance in this challenging market requires the appointment of a specialist broker who understands the impact changes have on premium, risk management, policy coverage and claims, and can provide tailored advice and ensure competitive quotations from a range of markets and insurers.<\/p>\n
