Butler appointed to historic railways framework"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dyerandbutler.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dyer &amp; Butler<\/a>, a part of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mgroupservices.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">M Group Services<\/a>, has been appointed as a delivery partner on <a href=\"https:\/\/highwaysengland.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Highways England<\/a>\u2019s Historic Railways Estate (HRE) framework<\/h2>\n<p>The HRE framework is tendered in separate Lots, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/eastern-highways-framework\/84222\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dyer &amp; Butler awarded the contract<\/a> for the Minor Works, South Lot (typically Package Orders less than \u00a3200,00).<\/p>\n<p>This lot includes the clearance of vegetation, masonry brickwork and stonework repairs, and pointing stabilisation of loose masonry, providing safety and\/or security fencing and reactive response to unauthorised access.<\/p>\n<p>The HRE framework relates to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/brexit-construction-engineering\/62088\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">civil engineering<\/a> repair, maintenance and associated services of historical structural and land assets related to former railways which are now closed.<\/p>\n<p>Highways England is responsible for approximately 4,000 non-operational railway structures including legacy bridges, viaducts, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/london-power-tunnels\/82962\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tunnels<\/a>, retaining walls, culverts and similar properties associated with closed railways throughout England, Scotland and Wales.<\/p>\n<h3>Supporting Highways England<\/h3>\n<p>Dyer &amp;
