Timber Square has been given the green light, which will be the largest commercial development in the UK to use cross-laminated timber (CLT)<\/h2>\n

Planning permission has been secured for Timber Square, the proposed 370,000 sq ft office development in Lavington Street, London.<\/p>\n

Timber Square will be a net-zero carbon scheme, and aims to be the largest commercial development in the UK to use cross-laminated timber<\/a> (CLT).<\/p>\n

The ambitious project will bring flexible, healthy and inspirational spaces to the heart of a creative neighbourhood and a community committed to positive change.<\/p>\n

The shceme will comprise two main buildings \u2013 The Ink Building and The Print Building \u2013 featuring 17 terraces and linked by landscaped public realm.<\/p>\n

Proving \u2018what\u2019s possible in sustainable development\u2019<\/h3>\n

Peter Fisher, director at Bennetts Associates<\/a>, said:\u00a0\u201cThe Timber Square scheme is both ambitious and challenging, and a fitting project to realise Landsec\u2019s net-zero carbon plans.<\/p>\n

\u201cSecuring planning permission is a significant milestone not just for Timber Square, but for the wider property industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe project has the potential to be a game-changer regarding operational and embodied carbon<\/a> impacts, as well as wellbeing.<\/p>\n
