Henley Construct<\/a> and Optivo<\/a> have been given the go-ahead to deliver 45 homes in Tulse Hill, the scheme will use modern methods of construction<\/h2>\n

Henley Construct will deliver 45 homes in Tulse Hill for housing association Optivo after the London Borough of Lambeth<\/a> resolved to grant planning permission.<\/p>\n

The 0.36-acre site sits on the corner of Norwood Road and Thurlow Park Road and currently contains two houses and a commercial unit for a car wash business.<\/p>\n

Designed by Tigg Coll Architects<\/a>, the four, five, six and seven storey development will provide a collection of one, two and three-bedroom homes in Tulse Hill with landscaping, amenity areas, disabled parking, cycle parking and refuse and recycling stores.<\/p>\n

The development will consist of 45 affordable homes provided within two adjoining blocks.<\/p>\n

Henley Construct will deliver the scheme using modern methods of construction<\/a> and materials that will significantly enhance the character and appearance of the area.<\/p>\n

\u2018A collaborative effort\u2019<\/h3>\n

Aaron Usmani, director of construction at Henley Construct, said: \u201cThe homes that sit on this site currently are in a poor state of repair, with alterations detracting from their original forms so we look forward to bringing back quality homes to this area of Tulse Hill and providing much needed affordable homes for the borough.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis project has been a collaborative effort by the design, commercial, land and construction team at Henley, and is a result of tremendous hard work and tenacity as we strive to deliver high quality schemes.<\/p>\n

\u201cQuality and detail is critically important to us regardless of tenure \u2013 people deserve high quality housing regardless of whether they are renting or buying.\u201d<\/p>\n

Richard White, director of land and new business at Optivo, added: “We’re really excited to be working with Henley on this fantastic scheme. This development will be a positive addition to the area and we\u2019re really proud to be part of it.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe’ve a proven track record of delivering high quality homes and we remain ambitious, with plans to start 7,000 homes by 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt Optivo, we\u2019re determined to do our bit to tackle the housing crisis<\/a> and look forward to giving residents the keys to their new home in the near future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Demolition works are due to start imminently on site.<\/p>\n
