Construction<\/a> has been appointed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.argentrelated.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Argent Related<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.barnet.gov.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Barnet Council<\/a> to deliver Brent Cross Town\u2019s visitor pavilion as part of the \u00a35bn town centre development in North London<\/h2>\n<p>RED Construction commenced work in late December on an 8,000 sq ft, three-storey, temporary visitor centre on Claremont Way in Brent Cross to showcase the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/brent-cross-town\/83496\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">town\u2019s masterplan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Designed by <a href=\"https:\/\/moxonarchitects.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Moxon Architects<\/a>, the building will capture and communicate the ambitious scale of Brent Cross Town, which will become a new park town for London and will establish a new standard for large-scale <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/rethink-urban-regeneration\/60391\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">urban regeneration<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Brent Cross Town will deliver 6,700 new homes for sale and for rent, alongside restaurants, sports and leisure facilities, and will be a major new office destination.<\/p>\n<p>With 3 million sq ft of office space, it will create a business ecosystem for 25,000 employees.<\/p>\n<p>The new neighbourhood has pledged to be a carbon zero town by 2030 at the latest and will connect to King\u2019s Cross in 12 minutes via the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/brent-cross-west-station\/81187\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">new station<\/a> which is under construction and due to be completed by the end of 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The visitor pavilion and associated landscaping was consulted on during events held in June and July 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The designs incorporate an exhibition space, flexible ground floor commercial space, as well as space available for community use.<\/p>\n<p>It will be constructed by RED Construction as a low-carbon, innovative <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/modular-construction-news\/engineered-timber-innovation\/71303\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cross-Laminated Timber<\/a> (CLT) superstructure which eliminates the need for a steel frame and will feature a timber-clad fa\u00e7ade.<\/p>\n<p>It is expected to be open to visitors by the end of 2021.<\/p>\n<h3>&#8216;An ambitious pavilion will also demonstrate RED\u2019s in-depth knowledge of CLT, which has been implemented on previous projects such as Axtell House in Soho, London.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nick Searl, partner of Argent
