rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BAM<\/a>, has appointed\u00a0Peter Bimson\u00a0as project director<\/h2>\n<p>Previously deputy project director and operations director for EKFB, Peter Bimson has been appointed to the role as part of the board\u2019s formal succession plan.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Emmanuel Rossignol has been appointed to support in the role of deputy project director.<\/p>\n<p>Under Bimson&#8217;s leadership, EKFB will offer employment opportunities to over 4,000 people at all levels and continue to deliver world-class construction and engineering and deliver on its mission to lead the transformation of the industry, influence future generations, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/uk-construction-industry-2\/85371\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">support the UK economy<\/a> and leave a legacy that improves people\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n<h3>&#8216;This is just the beginning&#8230;&#8217;<\/h3>\n<p>Peter Bimson said: \u201cI am delighted to have been appointed to lead EKFB in delivering an 80km section of one of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/hs2-contracts-tender\/85639\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Europe\u2019s largest civil engineering projects<\/a>, HS2.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith Emmanuel\u2019s and the senior leadership team\u2019s support, I am confident that our existing and new people will achieve on our mission, on construction milestones and on social value.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWorking on this project for the past three\u00a0years, I am proud of the achievements we have made to date, but am aware this is just the beginning and that we have a lot more ahead to deliver in 2021 and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Olivier de Guinaumont, EKFB board chair, added: \u201c2021 is a pivotal year for EKFB, and it is vital that we have the right leadership to take us forward to the next level.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we move into the delivery phase of the <a
