{"id":88565,"date":"2021-02-04T10:47:21","date_gmt":"2021-02-04T10:47:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=88565"},"modified":"2021-02-04T10:51:11","modified_gmt":"2021-02-04T10:51:11","slug":"fire-doors-contract","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/health-safety-news\/fire-doors-contract\/88565\/","title":{"rendered":"Kier wins Hounslow fire safety contract"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kier.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kier<\/a> has secured a \u00a314.5m contract with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hounslow.gov.uk\/site\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The London Borough of Hounslow<\/a> to upgrade over 7,600 fire doors across its housing stock over the next three years<\/h2>\n<p>The work will be carried out by Kier\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kier.co.uk\/expertise\/facilities-management\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Specialist Services<\/a> business, which has extensive experience in delivering <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/health-safety-news\/fire-protection-construction-industry\/57882\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">fire safety works<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s specialist teams will be assessing front entrance fire doors and subsequently designing, supplying and installing replacements.<\/p>\n<p>Testing of these doors will also be carried out, as well as digital records and training provided to the client.<\/p>\n<p>This latest win for Kier follows its appointment to Camden Council\u2019s \u00a3620m framework and its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/kier-gosport-borough-council\/88358\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reappointment by Gosport Council<\/a> to carry out housing maintenance for the next five years.
