Homes England<\/a> and United Trust Bank have launched a new five-year lending alliance to provide development finance to SME builders<\/h2>\n

Homes England and United Trust Bank (UTB \u00a0have announced a \u00a3250m fund to support small and medium-sized builders with development finance<\/a> at up to 70% Loan to Gross Development Value.<\/p>\n

The \u2018Housing Accelerator Fund\u2019 will provide construction loans between \u00a31m and \u00a310m.<\/p>\n

The alliance will improve access to development finance offered to smaller builders<\/a> and drive the diversification of the housing market over the coming years.<\/p>\n

\u2018Help smaller builders get on and build now\u2019<\/h3>\n

Gordon More, chief investment officer at Homes England, said: \u201cThe Housing Accelerator Fund is open for business from today.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn line with Homes England\u2019s commitment to support SMEs<\/a>, it will help smaller builders get on and build now, as well as improve the lending landscape for SMEs by driving competition in the market, improving choice and encouraging innovation.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnited Trust Bank have consistently supported housebuilders of all sizes and are an experienced and capable lender, we\u2019re pleased to be collaborating with them on this long-term partnership and look forward to seeing the fund support the delivery of new homes across the country.\u201d<\/p>\n

Noel Meredith, executive director of United Trust Bank, commented: \u201cSME housebuilders have a vital role to play in delivering the UK\u2019s new housing needs and UTB has amassed considerable experience helping such businesses to complete thousands of successful developments.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is an exciting new partnership with Homes England which will make a real difference to both long-established and newly formed development companies requiring competitive funding and the long-term support of a knowledgeable and experienced specialist lender.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis alliance will help to reinvigorate and increase diversity in the SME housebuilding<\/a> sector, and boost housing supply in areas under the greatest affordability pressures.\u201d<\/p>\n

Housing minister Christopher Pincher, added: \u201cIt is a top priority for this Government to build the homes this country needs and it is vital for our economic recovery that we support as many as possible within the housebuilding industry to deliver these homes.<\/p>\n

\u201cI welcome the announcement of the alliance between Homes England and United Trust Bank \u2013 this is win-win. It will not only support our commitment to build more homes, but also give smaller developers easier access to finance.\u201d<\/p>\n
