{"id":89041,"date":"2021-02-16T09:28:25","date_gmt":"2021-02-16T09:28:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=89041"},"modified":"2021-02-16T09:28:25","modified_gmt":"2021-02-16T09:28:25","slug":"nhbcs-building-for-tomorrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/mmc-news\/nhbcs-building-for-tomorrow\/89041\/","title":{"rendered":"NHBC\u2019s Building for tomorrow: Quality, MMC and climate change"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Quality, Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), and climate change takes centre stage at the 30<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhbc.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NHBC<\/a>\u2019s building for tomorrow (bft) event<\/h2>\n<p>In March, NHBC, the warranty and insurance provider for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/new-home-registrations-2\/88242\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">new homes in the UK<\/a>, will be hosting a completely new format of bft in the shape of a three-day virtual event where attendees can pick and choose the sessions they wish.<\/p>\n<h3>Focusing on five key strands:<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/new-home-registrations-2\/88242\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New homes quality<\/a>; safety and change; climate change; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/mmc-news\/modern-methods-of-construction-8\/87623\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MMC<\/a>; the future housing market and beyond, and high-rise, this year\u2019s event will have more than 20 hours of content with 30 plus speakers.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/stakeholders\/nhbc-warranty-insurance\/81202\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NHBC experts<\/a>, confirmed speakers include representatives from Zoopla,\u00a0Lloyd\u2019s Banking\u00a0Group,\u00a0the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hbf.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Home Builders Federation<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0the new Building Safety Regulator at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hse.gov.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">HSE<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The event will be held from Tuesday 23 March to Thursday 25 March.<\/p>\n<p>Each ticket includes\u202faccess to the event platform from Thursday 18\u202fMarch\u202fwhen you can upload your contact information to inform your networking opportunities and session selection for the live event.<\/p>\n<h3>All disciplines are welcome<\/h3>\n<p>NHBC regional director Nick Cunningham, said: \u201cWe are very pleased to be able to announce the new-look event as the industry continues to recover from the pandemic and other challenges.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u202freally is an event for everyone, whether you\u2019re a traditional\u202fhousebuilder, working in the affordable housing or Build to Rent sector, or a contractor or developer,\u202fbuilding for tomorrow will have plenty to inform and interest you.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s for people working on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/building-control-news\/standards-for-uk-housebuilders\/85167\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">technical side of housebuilding<\/a>, those involved in on-site construction and in customer care too, but this year there really will be something for everybody;
