BSRIA<\/a> has published new guidance on Project Information Process (BG 78\/2021) to promote best practice across the built environment<\/h2>\n

The Project Information Process (BG 78\/2021) guide is the latest publication in BSRIA\u2019s<\/a> on-going effort to research and publish technical knowledge.<\/p>\n

Project Information Process (BG 78\/2021)<\/h3>\n

The goal, for any project, is to produce the required information at the right time, thus enabling the delivery of a project that meets the client\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n

The purpose of this guide is to describe the process of identifying the information needs<\/a>, and to demonstrate how the provision of various information at the appropriate time in the project process links to its success.<\/p>\n

The process described is based on an owner-occupier case, such as a university or other organisation with buildings which they commission and then occupy themselves. However, many of the principles described in the guide can also be applied to other types of use cases.<\/p>\n

Throughout this guide, the\u00a0RIBA Plan of Work 2020<\/a>\u00a0is used as a reference point and the\u00a0Soft Landings Phases\u00a0are shown alongside the information needs process steps.<\/p>\n

As with related publication,\u00a0Handover Information and O&M Manuals (BG 79\/2020)<\/a>, the guidance is provided in an easy-to-follow format, making use of diagrams and checklists where possible.<\/p>\n
