The Centre for Digital Built Britain<\/a> (supported by the Construction Innovation Hub<\/a>), BSI<\/a> and the UK BIM Alliance<\/a>, have\u00a0released an updated suite of guidance documents to support the BS EN ISO 19650 series.<\/h2>\n

New content includes an insight into the revised National Annex in Guidance Part 2, from the updated Standard BS EN ISO 19650<\/a>-2:2018 & Revised NA.<\/p>\n

Guidance part 3 includes more detailed insight from a working group of people with expertise across the asset operation phase. A detailed information management process diagram has also been produced to supplement the guidance.<\/p>\n

\u2018Expanding insight into the ISO 19650 series\u2019<\/h3>\n

Co-editor of the guidance, Sarah Davidson, said: \u201cI\u2019m delighted that we have been able to produce this Q1 update to the guidance, expanding the coverage of insight into the ISO 19650 series<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m particularly pleased that we have been able to expand Guidance Part 3 covering the operational phase of assets and that we have been able to release guidance to support the updated ISO 19650-2 National Annex, which is also published today.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe guidance is a great example of collaboration and I want to thank the authors, contributors and reviewers who continue to dedicate their time and expertise to the development of this guidance. It truly is a team effort.\u201d<\/p>\n

Guidance part 3<\/h3>\n

Guidance Part A now references a matrix of activities to be carried out in support of the information management function \u2013 this matrix is available in various formats, via the UK BIM Framework<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Part D now reflects the asset information requirements as set out in ISO 19650-3 and Part E includes new guidance about the UK BIM Framework information protocol template and the information standard.<\/p>\n

Guidance previously contained in the Information Protocol Template has now been extended to provide deeper insight and it is provided as a separate document (as well as being contained in ISO 19650 Guidance Part E).<\/p>\n

This has led to a third edition of the Information Protocol Template which also contains some minor amendments following feedback.<\/p>\n
