{"id":89340,"date":"2021-02-22T09:31:54","date_gmt":"2021-02-22T09:31:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=89340"},"modified":"2021-02-22T09:31:54","modified_gmt":"2021-02-22T09:31:54","slug":"electric-vehicle-charging-points","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/electric-vehicle-charging-points\/89340\/","title":{"rendered":"BAM delivers electric vehicle charging points across UK and Netherlands"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bam.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BAM<\/a> team have provided charging stations for a variety of schemes, from individual buildings such as Hull Bonus Arena, Tata Headquarters and Health Innovation One at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lancaster.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">University of Lancaster<\/a>, to supporting local authorities to roll out charging capacity across their local area<\/h2>\n<p>To date BAM has installed over 50,000 charging points, helping people to adopt greener vehicles and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/smart-cement-mixtures\/46099\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">help cut carbon emissions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Services include advice on which systems to install, project management, installation and maintenance.<\/p>\n<p>The municipality of The Hague commissioned BAM, Alfen and <a href=\"https:\/\/newmotion.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NewMotion<\/a> to install 300 publicly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/energy-news\/easy-charging-electric-vehicles\/65923\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">accessible charging stations<\/a> for electric transport.<\/p>\n<p>BAM was responsible for managing the process and installation and operation of the charging stations.<\/p>\n<p>Following The Hague\u2019s example eight other municipalities rolled out similar programmes and BAM installed an additional 150 charging stations. BAM and ICU have also built EV loading bays on five Park &amp; Ride sites in the Hague region.
