Butler to enhance excavation safety procedures"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dyerandbutler.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dyer &amp; Butler<\/a>, a part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mgroupservices.com\/our-divisions\/transport\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">M Group Services Transport Division<\/a>, has introduced a fleet of remote-controlled, miniature vacuum excavators to its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/plant-equipment-supplies-news\/m-group-solar-pods\/88424\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">plant and fleet portfolio<\/a>, enhancing its excavation safety procedures<\/h2>\n<p>Following its investment in the new excavators, procured and supplied by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mgroupservicespfs.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">M Group Services Plant &amp; Fleet Solutions<\/a>, Dyer and Butler has mandated use of the machines as the primary solution in the hierarchy of control.<\/p>\n<p>Training on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/construction-technology-news\/morrison-utility-avus\/89603\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">excavators<\/a> has been delivered to teams across Dyer &amp; Butler\u2019s highways, aviation and rail divisions.<\/p>\n<p>The AIR-VAC II excavators were piloted by Dyer &amp; Butler teams working on the remodelling of a road junction, heavily congested with underground services, as part of works to form the Eastern Access route into the 88-acre \u2018Green Quarter\u2019 regeneration project in Ealing, West London.<\/p>\n<h3>A &#8216;game changer&#8217; for the delivery of safe excavation<\/h3>\n<p>Steve Broom, safety, sustainability and training director at Dyer &amp; Butler, said: \u201cThe risk of injury, incidents and disruption caused by damage to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/bim-news\/bentley-underground-digital-twins\/56925\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">underground services<\/a> is an ever present threat in our sector and we continually invest to enhance our working processes, training and equipment to ensure that our approach to working in these complex environments is both safe and innovative.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe introduction of the AIR-VAC II excavators has been a game-changer in the delivery of safe excavation, enabling our teams to work carefully, considerately and effectively in and around underground services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe that these machines, coupled with our experience and knowledge of safe excavation procedures around underground services, provides Dyer &amp;
