Keltbray<\/a> has landed a \u00a317.5m deal to deliver enabling deconstruction and new structural works on the first phase of the new home for the Museum of London<\/h2>\n

This initial phase of works on the new Museum of London<\/a> will include extensive restoration works to the general market building, including the renovation of the existing iron, stone and brickwork structure while preserving the decorative elevations of the original Victorian structures which date back to the 1880s.<\/p>\n

Given the age, scale and constraints of the existing site, the Keltbray delivery team will also draw on the group\u2019s in-house capabilities and engineering expertise to react quickly and proactively to any \u2018site discoveries\u2019 once work on site commences.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Keltbray will ensure the overall methodology for delivering further works novates seamlessly to deliver a collaborative<\/a>, \u2018joined-up\u2019 project solution.<\/p>\n

\u2018A once-in-a-generation opportunity\u2019<\/h3>\n

Michael O\u2019Hagan, managing director for built environment at Keltbray, said: \u201cKeltbray\u2019s partnership approach to design, delivery and stakeholder liaison will be instrumental in achieving the desired outcome on what will be one of London\u2019s most prestigious projects.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe application of digital engineering<\/a> and modern self-delivery methods will bring greater control to this complex scheme, while also supporting economic growth and providing significant social value for London and the UK.\u201d<\/p>\n
