{"id":91878,"date":"2021-04-14T09:16:57","date_gmt":"2021-04-14T08:16:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=91878"},"modified":"2021-04-14T09:16:57","modified_gmt":"2021-04-14T08:16:57","slug":"bauer-keller-joint-venture","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/bauer-keller-joint-venture\/91878\/","title":{"rendered":"Bauer Keller JV wins \u00a395m HS2 foundations contract"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Bauer and Keller JV has bagged a contract to deliver ground engineering and foundational work along an 80km stretch of HS2<\/h2>\n<p>Bauer Keller JV signed off on the \u00a395m deal with main works consortium <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eiffage.com\/en\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Eiffage<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kier.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kier<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en-gb\/business\/construction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ferrovial Construction<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bamnuttall.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BAM Nuttall<\/a> (EKFB), which is building the C23 section of the new high-speed line between London and the West Midlands.<\/p>\n<p>The C23 section consists of 80km of high-speed rail infrastructure, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/water-orton-viaducts\/87994\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">including 15 viaducts<\/a>, over 80 bridges, 7km of green tunnels and 30 million cubic metres of excavation.<\/p>\n<p>BKJV\u2019s scope of work is to construct piled foundations for the structures, as well as the construction of secant piled and slurry walls and the installation of pressure relief drains.<\/p>\n<p>BKJV has already completed initial preliminary pile testing works and teams are focused on a mobilisation to site to commence main works in April this year.
