approval at a general meeting expected to occur in early May.<\/p>\n<p>Foster BidCo will pay \u00a3110m for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/hr-skills-news\/kier-living-nick-moore-as-ceo\/52022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kier Living<\/a>, which is expected to take place before mid-June.<\/p>\n<p>Foster BidCo has paid a non-refundable deposit of\u00a0\u00a340m\u00a0to the company, which will be held in escrow and released on completion of the sale.<\/p>\n<p>Kier Living is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/construction-technology-news\/housebuilding-technology\/89528\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">housebuilding<\/a> business with established operations across four of the most affordable regions in\u00a0England.<\/p>\n<p>Kier Living&#8217;s principal focus is providing well-priced, low-rise, mixed-tenure suburban family homes through open-market sales.<\/p>\n<p>The Kier board unanimously believes that the sale of Kier Living recognises the strategic value of Kier Living and is in the best interests of shareholders and other stakeholders as a whole because it will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Facilitate a material reduction in the group&#8217;s net debt<\/li>\n<li>Reduce the volatility of the group&#8217;s working capital<\/li>\n<li>Remove the capital required to support land acquisition within Kier Living to maintain its current level of sales completions<\/li>\n<li>Remove the off-balance-sheet debt associated with certain of Kier Living&#8217;s joint ventures;
