{"id":92735,"date":"2021-04-29T09:50:06","date_gmt":"2021-04-29T08:50:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=92735"},"modified":"2021-04-29T09:50:06","modified_gmt":"2021-04-29T08:50:06","slug":"archaeology-framework","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/archaeology-framework\/92735\/","title":{"rendered":"Highways England reveals winners of archaeology framework"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/highways-england\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Highways England<\/a> has announced a new four-year archaeology framework which will offer suppliers the opportunity to work with the company in protecting the environment<\/h2>\n<p>The framework includes the country\u2019s cultural heritage and buried archaeology while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/technical-advisor-framework\/81953\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">improving England\u2019s motorways<\/a> and major A roads.<\/p>\n<p>By having the framework in place, archaeology contractors, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/uk-road-network-investment\/81325\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">working directly with Highways England<\/a>, will support the initial design stage of road schemes in the road investment strategy.<\/p>\n<p>This in turn supports how projects proceed through the planning stages, including what mitigation work is needed. The framework will bring multiple benefits to Highways England across cost efficiency, delivery of improvements and safety on site.<\/p>\n<p>The contract is available to all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/health-safety-news\/highways-england-passport-scheme\/83110\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Highways England schemes<\/a>, and can also be used by the Regional Delivery Partnership (RDP), Delivery Integration Partners.<\/p>\n<h3>The \u00a3195m framework has been awarded over three lots to the following companies:<\/h3>\n<h4 id=\"lot-1---under-2-million\">Lot 1 &#8211; under \u00a32m<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Connect Archaeology LLP<\/li>\n<li>Infra<\/li>\n<li>Archaeology Management Solutions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 id=\"lot-2---2-million-to-5-million\">Lot 2 &#8211; \u00a32m to \u00a35m<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Headland<\/li>\n<li>Oxford-Cotswold Archaeology<\/li>\n<li>Aecom<\/li>\n<li>Museum of London Archaeology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 id=\"lot-3---over-5-million\">Lot 3 &#8211; over \u00a35m<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Headland<\/li>\n<li>Oxford-Cotswold Archaeology<\/li>\n<li>Aecom<\/li>\n<li>Museum of London Archaeology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Catherine McGrath, category manager for ground investigation and archaeology at Highways England, said: &#8220;We\u2019re delighted to announce the new framework;
