{"id":92775,"date":"2021-04-29T14:07:36","date_gmt":"2021-04-29T13:07:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=92775"},"modified":"2021-04-29T14:07:36","modified_gmt":"2021-04-29T13:07:36","slug":"standards-for-prefabricated-buildings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/mmc-news\/standards-for-prefabricated-buildings\/92775\/","title":{"rendered":"ISO to develop UK standards for prefabricated buildings"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iso.org\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">International Standards Organisation<\/a> (ISO) has approved a new sub-committee to develop standards for the adoption of prefabricated buildings in the UK<\/h2>\n<p>The new standards for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/mmc-news\/prefabricated-volumetric-systems\/79647\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">prefabricated buildings<\/a> will be adopted in the UK as BS ISO standards.<\/p>\n<p>The proposal has come from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gbstandards.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chinese National Standards<\/a> body and has been accepted following a vote with 17 countries in favour including USA, Germany, France, Italy and Netherlands.
