{"id":93029,"date":"2021-05-06T09:39:43","date_gmt":"2021-05-06T08:39:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=93029"},"modified":"2021-05-06T09:39:43","modified_gmt":"2021-05-06T08:39:43","slug":"bk-construction-sites-app","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/digital-construction-news\/construction-technology-news\/bk-construction-sites-app\/93029\/","title":{"rendered":"B+K trials app for greener and safer construction sites"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bandk.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bowmer + Kirkland<\/a>, in partnership with the <a href=\"https:\/\/clocs.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Construction Logistics<\/a> and Community Safety Organisation (CLOCS), has been trialling an app that will help make construction journeys greener, safer and more efficient<\/h2>\n<p>Contractors will be able to view driver feedback on the CLOCS Vox online dashboard and if necessary make improvements to their logistics plans based on the experiences of drivers delivering to their sites.<\/p>\n<p>CLOCS Vox aims to drive safety standards up and injuries\/fatalities down \u2013 with more efficient journeys and less time waiting at site.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s free &amp; helps drive safer, greener and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/construction-technology-news\/tech-savvy-construction-industry\/92179\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">more efficient construction<\/a> journeys.<\/p>\n<p>Drivers can rate the sites they visit by sending anonymous feedback based on five key areas.<\/p>\n<h3>Key areas:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Whether the delivery was accepted or refused (and reason for refusal)<\/li>\n<li>Clarity of \u2018last mile\u2019 route and instructions<\/li>\n<li>Whether they arrived\/left as scheduled<\/li>\n<li>The gate team (fairness and efficiency)<\/li>\n<li>Ground conditions (including access for low entry cabs)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rebecca Williams, B+K health, safety &amp; wellbeing manager, said: \u201cThe app was easy to integrate into our gate team\u2019s duties.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey found it a good talking point.
