{"id":93046,"date":"2021-05-06T11:03:30","date_gmt":"2021-05-06T10:03:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=93046"},"modified":"2021-05-06T11:03:30","modified_gmt":"2021-05-06T10:03:30","slug":"henry-boot-management-shake-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/hr-skills-news\/henry-boot-management-shake-up\/93046\/","title":{"rendered":"Henry Boot shakes up senior management team"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Simon Carr of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.henrybootconstruction.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Henry Boot Construction<\/a> and Giles Boot of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bannerplant.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Banner Plant<\/a> will be retiring from their roles as managing director on 30 June 2021<\/h2>\n<p>Tony Shaw the current director of Henry Boot will be promoted to the position of managing director.<\/p>\n<p>While, Jonathan Fisher, UK sales director at Elliot will join Boot as the new managing director of Banner Plant.<\/p>\n<p>Both will become members of the group\u2019s executive committee.<\/p>\n<p>Simon Carr delivered over a billion pounds of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/contract-awards-above-average\/92121\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">construction activity<\/a> and increased statutory profit tenfold, with Giles Boot repositioning Banner Plant client base and order book from an internal hire supplier to a business generating 94% of its turnover from the open market.<\/p>\n<h3>Tony Shaw<\/h3>\n<p>Shaw joined HBC as an apprentice in 1985, before working his way up to his current position as director. As part of the succession planning, he has had an increasing day to day responsibility for the senior leadership team at Henry Boot and has led the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/hr-skills-news\/social-housing-liquidation\/82438\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">recent refresh of HBC\u2019s strategy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Shaw will continue to lead on the evolution and development of a more focused, progressive strategy for HBC.<\/p>\n<h3>Jonathan Fisher<\/h3>\n<p>Fisher joins the group as the new managing director of Banner Plant from Elliot, part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.modulairegroup.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Modulaire Group Company<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He has extensive industry experience from his previous position as the UK sales director and will be tasked to continue leading on progressing the digitalisation of Banner Plant sales systems and growing its strong position within plant hire.<\/p>\n<p>Tim Roberts, CEO of Henry Boot PLC, said: \u201cIn my relatively short time at Henry Boot, it has been a real pleasure working with Simon and Giles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTheir contribution, over a long period of time, has been very significant.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAptly, we have a good mix of homegrown, and fresh talent for these two important positions.
