Central Bedfordshire Council<\/a> has awarded Willmott Dixon<\/a> a contract to deliver the new \u00a343m Chiltern Vale Integrated Health and Care Hub and 98 homes<\/h2>\n

Located in Dunstable and procured using the LHC framework<\/a>, the Chiltern Vale Integrated Health and Care Hub will bring together care professionals under one roof to deliver health and wellbeing for the local community.<\/p>\n

The 6,375 sqm hub consists of four storeys and will offer a wide range of services, including community mental health<\/a> and children\u2019s services.<\/p>\n

The project\u2019s scope also includes the construction of 98 homes for residents over 55, offering a mixture of one and two-bedroom apartments.<\/p>\n

Willmott Dixon\u2019s early involvement in the design saw its team of construction specialists work with Central Bedfordshire Council, the Clinical Commissioning Group, GPs and local NHS providers to develop the service model and schedule of accommodation. This was designed on the principles of cura, Willmott Dixon\u2019s pre-designed integrated health and care hub concept.<\/p>\n

cura enables a bespoke internal layout with future adaptability to meet service changes.<\/p>\n

Councillor Eugene Ghent, executive member for housing & assets at Central Bedfordshire Council, said: \u201cI\u2019m delighted we have Wilmott Dixon on board and can start work on this exciting development, which will provide much needed housing and a building for health<\/a> and care services. It will enable more joined-up care and bring a wide range of services closer to people.<\/p>\n
