target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CO2nstruct Zero<\/a> is seeking views on how the industry should demonstrate progress on its journey to net-zero<\/h2>\n<p>The findings will feed into the creation of a performance framework \u2013 a suite of metrics, targets, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/energy-news\/construction-net-zero\/93226\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">milestones and commitments<\/a> \u2013 that the industry can use to measure impact and understand when and where further action needs to be taken.<\/p>\n<p>The overarching framework will amplify many of the goals and initiatives already shared in this space, and ensure industry speaks in a single and unified voice.<\/p>\n<p>The CLC\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.co.uk\/r\/CLCCO2nstructZero\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">online survey<\/a> is now open and closes at 17:00 on Friday 11 June 2021.<\/p>\n<p>It should not take more than 10 minutes to complete and is open to anyone working in the construction sector\/industry.<\/p>\n<h3>A vital role to play<\/h3>\n<p>Commenting on the survey\u2019s launch, Andrew Griffith MP, the UK\u2019s net zero business champion, said: \u201cThe construction industry has a vital role to play in achieving society\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/mmc-news\/offsite-net-zero-target\/80736\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">net-zero ambitions<\/a> and how we measure its progress will be vital to, not only meeting our targets, but ensuring we bring all businesses \u2013 large and small \u2013 on the journey.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Andy Mitchell, co-chair of the Construction Leadership Council (CLC), said: \u201cA comprehensive and cohesive approach to measuring net-zero progress is the foundation for so much more.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMost importantly, it will ensure industry can be both challenged and praised.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019d urge all organisations and business groups working in our sector to complete the survey today and help us shape a net-zero future.\u201d<\/p>\n<div
