{"id":93883,"date":"2021-05-25T11:01:20","date_gmt":"2021-05-25T10:01:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=93883"},"modified":"2021-05-25T11:01:20","modified_gmt":"2021-05-25T10:01:20","slug":"bam-temple-developments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/bam-temple-developments\/93883\/","title":{"rendered":"BAM Construction starts work on Leeds Temple development"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bam.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BAM Construction<\/a> has started construction work on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ceg.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CEG<\/a>\u2019s flagship \u00a3350m Globe Point development within the Temple district of Leeds<\/h2>\n<p>BAM Construction has moved onto site to deliver the 37,800 sq ft seven-storey building on Globe Road.<\/p>\n<p>Responding to occupiers\u2019 expectations and the new ways of working, Globe Point will deliver some of the highest quality workspace in the city, with ground floor break-out space, business lounge and caf\u00e9 kitchen.<\/p>\n<p>Ready for occupation in spring next year, it will provide <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/hr-skills-news\/flexible-working-policy\/91405\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">flexible workspace<\/a> for up to 400 people.<\/p>\n<p>Designed by <a href=\"https:\/\/fcbstudios.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios<\/a>, Globe Point offers spectacular views across the city from roof terraces on the top two floors and innovative outdoor plazas.<\/p>\n<p>The building will also raise the bar in terms of quality, occupant wellbeing and sustainability.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fljltd.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fox Lloyd Jones<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.knightfrank.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Knight Frank<\/a> have been appointed to market the building.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/construction-technology-news\/smart-buildings-new-normal\/89443\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SMART Technologies<\/a> will be used to control and drive energy\u00a0performance. Sensors monitor air quality and adjust air flow while still optimising energy efficiency. All-electric, it will use 100% REGOS green energy and is designed to reduce water consumption.<\/p>\n<p>Secure cycle parking, showers and lockers and access to electric vehicle charging points will help occupants make sustainable travel choices.<\/p>\n<p>Targeting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breeam.com\/BREEAM2011SchemeDocument\/Content\/03_ScoringRating\/scoring.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BREEAM Excellent<\/a> and EPC A.
