REbuild Project to tackle gender inequality in the construction industry<\/h2>\n<p>Amanda Fisher, chief executive officer of Amey, and Mandy Willis, group board director of corporate strategy at Mace, have been appointed as co-chairs of The REbuild Project, a new campaign to tackle the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/hr-skills-news\/construction-gender-equality\/59801\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">construction industry\u2019s gender inequality<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After a successful launch on International Women\u2019s Day 2021, the appointment of two women industry leaders as co-chairs represents an important milestone for the campaign, which aims to directly impact the lives of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/hr-skills-news\/women-in-construction\/44329\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">women working in construction<\/a> by highlighting \u2018the 3 Rs\u2019:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>REpresentation \u2013 increasing the % of women joining the industry at all levels<\/li>\n<li>REcognition \u2013 improving the % of women holding board-level and senior positions<\/li>\n<li>REmuneration \u2013 addressing pay differentials and closing the gender pay gap<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Fisher and Willis will provide The REbuild Project with strategic direction, lead a board comprising industry volunteers from across the construction industry, and act as media spokespeople to raise the profile of this innovative and much-needed campaign.<\/p>\n<h3>\u2018Championing diversity and equality\u2019<\/h3>\n<p>Amanda Fisher, chief executive officer of Amey, said: \u201cI\u2019m delighted to be leading this important initiative to
