{"id":95294,"date":"2021-06-28T10:40:51","date_gmt":"2021-06-28T09:40:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=95294"},"modified":"2021-06-28T10:40:51","modified_gmt":"2021-06-28T09:40:51","slug":"engineering-technical-framework","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/engineering-technical-framework\/95294\/","title":{"rendered":"Amey secures place on Scotland Excel framework"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amey.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Amey<\/a> has been appointed to the \u00a372.5m <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scotland-excel.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Scotland Excel<\/a> civil engineering and technical consultancy framework, spanning four years<\/h2>\n<p>The civil engineering and technical framework is open to 32 local Scottish authorities as well as several other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/scottish-construction-recovery\/81739\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Scottish public sector<\/a> organisations.<\/p>\n<p>Key to Amey Consulting\u2019s involvement will be designing for towns and cities across Scotland to enhance walking and cycling facilities.<\/p>\n<p>This will help to support public health, sustainably transform urban areas and contribute to economic growth.<\/p>\n<p>This includes working with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">North Lanarkshire Council<\/a> to design a new road link, with associated walking and cycling links, to connect the Ravenscraig development to Motherwell town centre, as part of the Pan-Lanarkshire Orbital Transport Corridor.<\/p>\n<p>Amey Consulting recently announced it is providing highways design services to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/contract-opportunities-river-clyde\/94794\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Clyde Waterfront and Renfrew Riverside project<\/a>, improving all transport links to a new 184-metre iconic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/scottish-highways-design-contract\/93637\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">bridge crossing of the River Clyde<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Having been on the previous generation of the framework, Amey Consulting has expanded its offering and secured two additional lots.<\/p>\n<h3>Infrastructure services will work across six lots:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Roads &amp;
