{"id":95319,"date":"2021-06-28T13:53:04","date_gmt":"2021-06-28T12:53:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=95319"},"modified":"2021-06-28T13:53:04","modified_gmt":"2021-06-28T12:53:04","slug":"ramboll-uk-arm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/hr-skills-news\/ramboll-uk-arm\/95319\/","title":{"rendered":"Ramboll appoints former SSE director to front UK arm"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-95322 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/John-Mullen.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"240\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/John-Mullen.jpg 240w, https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/John-Mullen-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 240px) 100vw, 240px\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/ramboll.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ramboll<\/a> has appointed John Mullen, former director of asset management at <a href=\"https:\/\/sse.co.uk\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SSE<\/a>, to front the UK arm of its 1,600 strong global energy business <strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>John Mullen is an experienced leader with deep insight into the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/energy-news\/net-zero-targets-ukgbc\/70134\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">energy sector in the UK<\/a>, bringing more than 25 years\u2019 experience across utilities and district energy.<\/p>\n<p>John spent over 13 years at SSE, one of the largest energy providers and asset companies across the UK and Ireland, serving as the director of asset management.<\/p>\n<p>John was responsible for the safety, performance and lifetime optimisation of assets and facilities, including a waste and biomass plant, private water business, sixteen district heat networks, generation plants, and one of the largest private networks in the UK, and drove multi-million-pound growth for SSE\u2019s distributed energy group.<\/p>\n<p>As well as fronting Ramboll\u2019s UK energy business overall in the UK market, John will also assume departmental responsibility for the UK district energy team.<\/p>\n<p>Ramboll\u2019s UK energy business is responsible for many energy projects.
