{"id":95776,"date":"2021-07-06T10:48:20","date_gmt":"2021-07-06T09:48:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=95776"},"modified":"2021-07-07T11:19:13","modified_gmt":"2021-07-07T10:19:13","slug":"scotland-water-and-wastewater","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/scotland-water-and-wastewater\/95776\/","title":{"rendered":"7 companies appointed to Scottish Water\u2019s wastewater portfolio"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gallifordtry.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Galliford Try<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theclancygroup.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Clancy<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.morrisonws.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Morrison Water Services<\/a> are among the successful companies appointed to carry out essential work across <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scottishwater.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Scottish Water\u2019s<\/a> water and wastewater portfolio<\/h2>\n<p>Scottish Water forecasts to spend \u00a31bn a year on thousands of miles of water pipes, sewer networks, treatment works and other assets to ensure they continue to play a vital role in the daily lives of five million people.<\/p>\n<p>The programme of work will help to deliver <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/bim-news\/digital-twin-net-zero-emissions\/94185\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">net zero emissions<\/a> water and wastewater services by 2040 and build capacity in the network to cope with changing weather patterns.<\/p>\n<p>Seven companies have been appointed to carry out essential work across key elements of Scottish Water\u2019s operational services and the capital investment portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>The procurement, which has a maximum value of more than \u00a35bn over 12 years, is one of the biggest ever carried out in Scotland and will support construction, engineering and employment.<\/p>\n<h3>The successful companies include:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Clancy<\/li>\n<li>Galliford Try Infrastructure Ltd (Morrison Construction)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.georgeleslie.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">George Leslie Ltd<\/a><\/li>\n<li>RWGM joint venture<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ross-eng.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ross-shire Engineering<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wgmengineering.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WGM Engineering<\/a> &amp; <a href=\"https:\/\/b-gen.co.uk\/?bgen=boulting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BGEN Ltd<\/a> joint venture<\/li>\n<li>Morrison Water Services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The period of work spans the next six years with a six-year extension option thereafter.
