Collida<\/a>, a Willmott Dixon<\/a> company, has signed a five-year partnership with Architype<\/a>, to develop a new generation of sustainable homes using MMC solutions<\/h2>\n

Collida Living aims to deliver up to 90% lower running costs for residents compared to the average family home, whilst achieving 20% lower embodied carbon against LETI benchmarks \u2013 all delivered through the use of factory-manufactured offsite solutions<\/a>.<\/p>\n

To achieve this, Collida uses digital configuration software<\/a> to deliver a suite of mixed-tenure houses and apartments to suit every layout option.<\/p>\n

It provides internal flexibility with rapid design options so that each development can be tailored to suit local community needs.<\/p>\n

The partnership will give Collida access to Architype’s Passivhaus design and technical capability to help drive its Living platform.<\/p>\n

Meeting ambitious carbon commitments<\/h3>\n

Tim Carey, chief product officer for Collida, said: \u201cSustainability is one of Collida\u2019s key values, and we are passionate about delivering net-zero carbon homes<\/a> with integrity.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were drawn to Architype because of their shared values and Passivhaus expertise, which is a rigorous standard for carbon reduction.<\/p>\n

“With the potential cost of retrofitting even recently built homes up to five times higher than doing the right thing now, Collida is committed to solutions that drive exemplar standards in both sustainable design and installation today.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mark Barry, architype director, added: “We have successfully worked together with Willmott Dixon on major Passivhaus projects and this move is a natural extension of our collaborative partnership.<\/p>\n
