{"id":96873,"date":"2021-07-27T11:10:09","date_gmt":"2021-07-27T10:10:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=96873"},"modified":"2021-07-27T11:17:05","modified_gmt":"2021-07-27T10:17:05","slug":"demolition-land-preparation-framework","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/demolition-land-preparation-framework\/96873\/","title":{"rendered":"Firms put on notice for \u00a31.56bn demolition and land preparation framework"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>National framework provider <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pagabo.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pagabo<\/a> has issued a prior information notice (PIN) for its new \u00a31.56bn demolition and land preparation framework<\/h2>\n<p>The demolition and land preparation framework will run for four years and will allow local authorities and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/energy-news\/public-sector-decarbonisation\/93173\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">public sector<\/a> bodies to procure a range of projects.<\/p>\n<p>These projects will include structure demolition, ground improvement works, bulk earthworks, industrial dismantling and the demolition of non-traditionally constructed high-rise structures.<\/p>\n<p>The demolition and land preparation framework will feature ten lots, with each including six regional and national suppliers, along with three reserve organisations.<\/p>\n<h3>The full list of lots are:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Demolition &#8211; 5 stories and below<\/li>\n<li>Demolition &#8211; 6 stories and above<\/li>\n<li>Bulk earthworks and waste management<\/li>\n<li>Contaminated land remediation<\/li>\n<li>Mine work remediation<\/li>\n<li>Ground improvement<\/li>\n<li>Decommissioning and decontamination<\/li>\n<li>Asbestos management and removal<\/li>\n<li>Industrial dismantling and deplanting<\/li>\n<li>Non-traditional high-rise structures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>\u2018A compliant and direct procurement route\u2019<\/h3>\n<p>Jason Stapley, managing director at Pagabo, said: \u201cFor any project that needs to procure these services currently, usually the contractor brings in an organisation from its supply chain. However, this new offering provides a compliant and direct <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/transforming-public-procurement\/90357\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">procurement<\/a> route for demolition and land preparation services for public sector bodies, affording them direct access to specialist firms.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe way we approach our framework development is through a collaborative full engagement process to ensure that we bring forth something that is a useful and powerful tool for all.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are responding to market needs with this particular framework and look forward to working with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rugby.gov.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rugby Borough Council<\/a>, which will act as the awarding body.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAcross the country, there is a large amount of development that will require demolition or site remediation to get going.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis framework is set to make those early pre-construction phase services easier to access in a compliant manner for public sector organisations, making sure that every site and project gets the quickest and best start possible to lead into the excellent, high quality schemes the construction industry is known for.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A free engagement session for this framework will be taking place on 10 August at 11am.
