Marking the first anniversary of NHBC<\/a> Accepts, the service has now accepted a range of products and systems, which over the course of the year have helped in the delivery of more than 5,000 innovative new homes across the UK<\/h2>\n

NHBC Accepts \u2013 endorsed by the Government\u2019s Modern Methods of Construction<\/a> champion, Mark Farmer, and recognised by Homes England<\/a> and UK Finance<\/a> \u2013 enables quicker assessment of a home for warranty and reduces the risk to the builder of delays in their project.<\/p>\n

Any product or system with the NHBC Accepts logo will have been rigorously assessed to ensure it can meet NHBC\u2019s robust standards, giving confidence to developers, investors,\u00a0lenders\u00a0and homeowners.<\/p>\n

Even once accepted, NHBC\u2019s\u00a0Innovation\u00a0team continue to review quality through factory and site inspections<\/a> and\u202fseek feedback from those working with the product on site. We share this knowledge with the system owners to help continually improve their product.<\/p>\n

Confidence in quality<\/h3>\n

NHBC innovation manager, Richard Lankshear, said: \u201cWe know from feedback that once a product or system is given the NHBC Accepts green light\u00a0that this\u00a0creates confidence in quality, long-term durability and traceability.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe actively assess construction quality both on-site and offsite to verify that each product is suitable and acceptable to meet the standards set to obtain our ten-year NHBC Buildmark warranty.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the demands on the industry to increase the volume of new homes<\/a>\u202fand the simultaneous challenges around materials and skills, we are at a critical stage in the development\u00a0of\u00a0MMC.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u202fare\u202fproud to be\u202fusing\u202four scale, expertise and knowledge\u202fof\u202fhousebuilding to work with manufacturers to provide the confidence that innovative products and systems can meet\u202fand sometimes exceed\u202fthe same high standards of quality and durability as\u202ftraditionally-built\u202fhomes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chris Hornby, senior technical manager at\u00a0Wienerberger, said: \u201cWe are very pleased to be part of the NHBC Accepts story.<\/p>\n

\u201cAn accepted system demonstrates that, subject to appropriate design and installation, it can be used in homes covered by NHBC Buildmark<\/a>. Crucially the systems it accepts will help instil faith in the quality credentials of\u00a0MMC\u00a0across the wider industry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ultraframe\u2019s\u00a0design and development director,\u00a0Andrew Thomson, added: \u201cFor us, an NHBC Accepts\u202fcertificate demonstrates that our product has been thoroughly reviewed by the team, in turn giving confidence to prospective buyers.\u201d<\/p>\n
