Hayfield<\/a> has acquired a prime 5.5-acre site in the Worcestershire village of Hallow with plans to deliver 55 eco-friendly homes<\/h2>\n

The land could see the creation of 2.5-acres of outstanding new public open space<\/a>, which would join up with the extensive wildflower meadow and fully equipped playground that was created as part of the original Hayfield Meadow scheme.<\/p>\n

The 55 homes proposed for the new \u00a319m project have been specified with air source heat<\/a> pumps, energy-efficient underfloor heating, the smartest electric vehicle fast-charging points available and ultra-fast broadband, to deliver highly sustainable dwellings within this traditional Worcestershire village.<\/p>\n

There will be a 40% provision for affordable housing.<\/p>\n

Hayfield has submitted a full planning application to Malvern Hills District Council<\/a> for a range of one-, two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom executive houses, bungalows and apartments.<\/p>\n

The proposed use of traditional architecture, red brick, stone features, and contrasting dark roof tiles are some of the external design elements which have been influenced by the traditional homes in the village, together with the Hallow Design Guide.<\/p>\n

Hayfield will create a new access road and footpaths to adoptable standards, with the development having been designed to seamlessly assimilate into the surrounding environment.<\/p>\n

Hedgerows will be retained, and new wildflower planting will create ecological benefits. The density of the development will be archetypally Hayfield and much lower than typical new build schemes, with a SUDS<\/a> balancing pond, swale network and extensive new tree planting incorporated into the masterplan.<\/p>\n

Hallow\u2019s convenient location is ideal for commuting, shopping and visiting the many attractions Worcestershire has to offer.<\/p>\n

Hallow Primary School \u2013 situated close to the site \u2013 is highly regarded by local families, while the development also falls within the catchment of the Ofsted Outstanding-rated Chantry School for 11\u201316-year-olds, which is in the nearby village of Martley.<\/p>\n

A highly sustainable new community<\/h3>\n

Andy Morris, managing director of Hayfield said: \u201cThis is the first time we have had the opportunity to create a sister scheme to one of our existing developments.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing only three miles outside of the centre of Worcester\u2019s cathedral city, Hallow is a very popular village and Hayfield Meadow was one of our fastest-selling schemes, with the range of bungalows being particularly sought after.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur proposals for 55 eco-friendly homes could deliver a design-led, highly sustainable new community, benefiting from a large swathe of public open apace.<\/p>\n
