Scape<\/a> has started the renewal race for contractors to secure a place on its East Midlands and the East of England framework for projects up to \u00a37.5m<\/h2>\n

Successful contractors will then be\u00a0invited to tender this winter, with public sector<\/a> organisations in the Midlands and East of England able to access the framework from\u00a0August 2022.<\/p>\n

Part of the Scape Construction suite of direct award frameworks, the new framework will help local authorities and public sector organisations accelerate the procurement of\u00a0construction projects up to a value of \u00a37.5m.<\/p>\n

The new\u00a0four-year East Midlands and the East of England framework will build on the positive impact of Scape\u2019s existing Regional Construction framework which has successfully delivered 362 projects to date.<\/p>\n

The framework will provide further flexibility by offering a\u00a0\u2018client commercial choice\u2019\u00a0option in addition to a direct award procurement pathway, as part of the contractor selection process. Those organisations procuring projects through the framework will also benefit from the removal of value bands within the new structure, providing clients with greater choice over which contractors and services they would like to select.<\/p>\n

This is alongside new \u2018net zero-ready\u2019 features that will support the public sector\u2019s ambitious sustainability goals and an effective response to the climate emergency<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2018Accelerate the delivery of great spaces and places\u2019<\/h3>\n

Adrian Hill, acting deputy managing director at Scape, said: \u201cThe public sector continues to play a vital role in the economic recovery of regions across the UK, including the Midlands and East of England.<\/p>\n

“Speaking with contractors this summer, it\u2019s clear that innovative, large-scale frameworks \u2013 based on a bedrock of rigour and compliance \u2013 are at the forefront of their growth plans as they look to develop long-lasting relationships with regeneration-focused local authorities<\/a> and public sector organisations.<\/p>\n
