8 suppliers have secured a place on a new \u00a35m engineering inspection framework for public sector organisations across England and Wales<\/h2>\n

Engineering Inspection Services (EIS1) includes 8 workstreams that will enable public bodies to access pre-approved suppliers for the assessment of equipment and systems across social homes<\/a>, high and low-rise blocks, sheltered housing, office buildings, leisure centres, plant rooms and other assets.<\/p>\n

Delivered by LHC<\/a>, EIS1 is a new framework established in partnership with Southwark Council<\/a> and designed to meet the requirements of health and safety statute and related regulations, including the Health and Safety at Work Act.<\/p>\n

The engineering inspection framework workstreams cover \u2013 lifting equipment, electrical equipment, power press and associated machinery, mechanical systems, pressure plant and systems, local exhaust ventilation, fall protection testing and inspection, playground and playground equipment, and multi-discipline inspection services.<\/p>\n

\u2018Offering a very high standard of service\u2019<\/h3>\n

Dean Fazackerley, head of technical procurement at LHC, said: \u201cThis new framework<\/a> has been designed so we can offer our clients a very high standard of service, provide them with flexibility of options for different assets, and enable them to meet their insurance and health and safety inspection requirements.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe also want to provide the foundations for positive and constructive client-supplier relationships that ensures the safe operation of assets, minimise risks to the public, ensure quality and provide legal compliance.<\/p>\n

\u201cBidders to the framework were evaluated based on scenarios reflecting actual operational conditions that clients will encounter, to ensure all risks were addressed and their service would be fit for purpose. The scenarios tested their customer service awareness and sensitivity to differing needs and situations.\u201d<\/p>\n

Any organisation bound to procure under PCR2015 can access this framework.<\/p>\n
