{"id":98978,"date":"2021-09-10T10:05:28","date_gmt":"2021-09-10T09:05:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=98978"},"modified":"2021-09-10T10:05:28","modified_gmt":"2021-09-10T09:05:28","slug":"willmott-dixon-general-counsel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/hr-skills-news\/willmott-dixon-general-counsel\/98978\/","title":{"rendered":"Willmott Dixon appoints Kier executive as general counsel"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.willmottdixon.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Willmott Dixon<\/a> has appointed Hugh Raven to a new board-level position of general counsel, reporting to group chief executive Rick Willmott<\/h2>\n<p>Hugh Raven will have overall responsibility for Willmott Dixon\u2019s legal and regulatory affairs, supported by the company secretary and fellow board-member Wendy McWilliams.<\/p>\n<p>Raven brings a wealth of expertise and strategic leadership experience gained from being a partner at Eversheds LLP, and then more recently with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kier.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kier<\/a>, where he spent 11 years as general counsel, company secretary to the plc board and a member of the executive committee.<\/p>\n<p>In keeping with Willmott Dixon&#8217;s approach towards sustainability, the company recently unveiled the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/energy-news\/net-zero-carbon-targets\/83151\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2030 sustainable strategy<\/a>, \u2018Now or Never;
