{"id":99319,"date":"2021-09-17T08:49:32","date_gmt":"2021-09-17T07:49:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=99319"},"modified":"2021-09-17T08:49:32","modified_gmt":"2021-09-17T07:49:32","slug":"scheme-delivery-framework","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/scheme-delivery-framework\/99319\/","title":{"rendered":"50 companies appointed to \u00a33.6bn National Highways renewals deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/highwaysengland.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">National Highways<\/a> has appointed 50 supply chain partners to deliver up to \u00a33.6bn worth of renewals to England\u2019s motorways and major A roads<\/h2>\n<p>This work is awarded as part of National Highways\u2019 new six-year Scheme Delivery Framework (SDF).<\/p>\n<p>The\u202fframework will enable the delivery\u202fof renewals across a range of activities, including\u202fsubstantial\u202fcivils work\u202fon\u202fbarriers and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/how-drexus-pave-drain-changes-drainage\/37036\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">drainage<\/a>, traffic management activities and design services for a range of projects.<\/p>\n<p>The Scheme Delivery Framework replaces the soon to expire existing contract mechanisms, known as the Construction Works Framework (CWF), Design Services Contracts (DSC) and Asset Support Contract (ASC).<\/p>\n<h3>The framework is split into four bands:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Band A &#8211; Civil engineering and drainage<\/li>\n<li>Band B &#8211; Temporary traffic management and road restraint systems<\/li>\n<li>Band C \u2013 Specialist works<\/li>\n<li>Band D \u2013 Design.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Within each band there are between two and seven lots.
